Accessing your hotel suite

Is there a front desk or reception staff in each Micro Boutique Living location?
A :
No, Micro Boutique Living operates a self-service model. You book your suite on our website (or call our toll-free Virtual Front Desk line). Once your reservation is confirmed, you go to your Micro Boutique Living location and let yourself in using your unique door codes. When your stay is over, there are no keys to drop off or extra bills to pay - you simply check out by leaving the suite.

How do I access my Micro Boutique Hotel Suite?

Before your arrival, you will be sent a unique numerical code by email and/or text. Your code is programmed to take effect at check-in and will last for the duration of your stay. After you check out, your code will be disabled and you will not be able to get back into your suite.

What if I lose my entry keypad access code or didn’t get one?
A :
Your assigned code will be in an email and/or text communication from Micro Boutique Living-be sure to double check your Spam or Junk mail folder first if you haven’t received it. If you misplace your code, please call our Virtual Front Desk line at 1-888-501-2325 and we’ll be happy to assist you.

What is your check-in/check-out policy?

You may check in as early as 3:00 pm. Check out is by 11:00 am on the day of your departure.

What is the cancellation policy for a short term stay?
A :
You may cancel your refundable booking without charge up to 72 hours prior to check-in. After that time the cost of the first night’s stay will be charged. Hotel reservations made using our low rate, non-refundable option will need to be charged in full.

As per local by-laws, all our buildings are smoke-free. This includes balconies and patio areas. To smoke you need to be a minimum of 3 metres away from the building. This policy is strictly enforced.

Your suite comes with a fully-equipped kitchenette, however, breakfast is not included. We do offer complimentary tea and coffee in your suite, along with a few light snacks.

No, however, in the entrance/lobby area, there is a complimentary phone for our guests to use.

All our buildings have on-site laundry rooms (additional fee) with ironing boards and irons for guests’ use.

A number of our Micro Boutique Suites are designated as dog-friendly - the rest are kept pet-free in case any of our human guests have allergies. With prior notice your well behaved dog can stay with you in your pet-designated room. There is no additional fee to overnight guests but long term tenants are subject to a small monthly fee.

Our AC equipped Micro Boutique Suites are designed for year-round living and have all the core amenities of a compact condo. Each suite is fully equipped with a kitchenette including a fridge/freezer combo, cooktop, microwave/convection oven as well as all needed cookware and dinnerware. Our 3 piece bathrooms include a shower and complimentary toiletries. In the living room area there is a sofa, flat screen TV, fireplace and a desk with complimentary WiFI and internet access. All beds have a Queen, pillow-top mattress and superior linens.

Is internet service available? And is it free?
A :
Yes, all our buildings are Wi-Fi equipped; each suite also has a direct wired internet port. The password will be sent to you with your entry codes. The internet service is complementary to our guests.

Is parking available on site?

In Antigonish we have some on site-parking. However, if our parking lot is full there's street parking nearby and a free municipal parking lot right next door.
In our Wolfville location we offer a limited number of underground parking spaces for a fee - please see our website for more details. There is also a free municipal parking lot 1 minute away.

A :
Simple. Just choose your location on our website, click on a term under the Choose Your Stay choices, and fill out the Online Lease. Press Submit at the end and we will take care of the rest.

How long is a normal lease and when does it start?
A :
We offer fixed-term 4 or 8 month Academic leases. The lease start and end dates coincide with the local university’s academic terms.

How do I renew my lease?

A lease renewal can be completed by filling out a new lease online.
Q :
My living plans have changed unexpectedly. Can can I get out of my lease?
A :
Yes, you can. However, you need to find another tenant to take over your lease. We will help you to do so as well.

What are the Landlord’s house rules?

Can my rent increase?

No, not during the term of your lease. Any rent increase will be provided to a tenant in writing, three months prior to its effect.

Yes, dedicated on-site parking can be purchased by our tenants. If someone parks in your space, it is the responsibility of the tenant to contact a local tow company to have the vehicle removed.

Absolutely, though keep in mind that our suites are called Micro for a reason!

Can I bring my pet?
A :
Yes, with the prior approval of the Landlord and the payment of a small, monthly fee. We do have a pet agreement that must be signed as well by the tenant.

Except in exceptional circumstances, all payments are to be made through our pre-authorized debit system.

Assuming that your suite was left in the same condition as when you moved in we will apply a credit to your account within 10 days of the date of your departure. If you plan to leave well before the end of your lease please tell us and we can credit your account for when you leave your loft.
